  • You're wrong Norma, "Wing Mirror" has become a generic term in the same way that "Hoover" is a generic term for vacuum cleaners. Nobody except you calls them door mirrors.

  • A Vauxhall Astra does not have wing mirrors - it has door mirrors.Wing mirrors have been obsolete for forty years.

  • Nobody except those who know what they're talking about.Try reading any modern car brochure and see if you can find the term "wing mirror" - it's probably in the section on starting handles and grease nipples.
