The incident happened at the junction of Grapes Hill and Barn Road at about 5pm.

The driver noticed two men standing at the side of the road near the Cane Furniture Centre and one then pushed a skateboard into the path of the car.

As the car went over the skateboard, it flipped up and smashed one of its wing mirrors.

Police have said the two men then picked up their skateboards and ran across the carriageway towards Toys R Us.

Both men are described as white, about 20 years old, about 5ft 8in and with short hair.

One was wearing a red top and the other a black top.

Anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information that could help police, is asked to contact PC Paul Brown at Bethel Street Police Station on 101.
