Burglar crept into Great Yarmouth woman’s home at 2am

A burglar crept into a woman’s home in Great Yarmouth in the early hours of yesterday morning (Wednesday).

A resident in her sixties heard a noise and went into the hallway of her home in Beatty Close to see a male figure running out of her front door.

He fled empty-handed after gaining entry via the unlocked door at around 2am.

The woman was unharmed, but was shaken by the incident.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area around this time or from anyone with information in relation to the Call DC Kerrie Atkin at Great Yarmouth CID with information on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Officers would also like to remind people of the importance of locking and securing windows and doors at all times, but particularly when settling down for the night.
