Brundall man displays wrong tax disk in car to placate neighbour

A Brundall man pleaded guilty to displaying the wrong tax disk in his car and driving without insurance or a test certificate.

David Tarry, 43, from Cedar Way, appeared before Norwich magistrates today, and admitted fraudulent use of a vehicle licence, and the two other motoring offences.

Prosecuting, Ben Brighouse said Tarry’s car was stopped by police in High Street, Brundall on November 21.

He said: “In interview Tarry said that a nosey neighbour had been complaining about people with no tax disks in their cars, and he did it to placate her.”

Tarry, who represented himself in court, said: “I realise I should not have been driving the car.”

The case was adjourned for reports.
