Police are continuing to investigate the murder of a woman at a house in a south Norfolk village.
Officers were called to a property in Churchill Place, Brooke, at around 10.30am yesterday (Sunday, September 23) following reports a woman had been stabbed.
They discovered the body of a woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene, and arrested a man in his 80s on suspicion of murder.
He was initially detained at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital but has since been discharged and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
A Home Office post mortem examination to establish the exact cause of death is due to take place tomorrow, Tuesday, September 25, while formal identification is yet to take place.
A police spokesman added: 'A cordon has been put in place at the address while officers carry out their enquiries and this is likely to remain in place for the rest of the day.'
