Brave woman keeps hold of handbag to foil Norwich robber

A brave woman foiled a robber after he tried to snatch her handbag in Norwich this weekend.

Police are appealing for information after a woman in her late 40s narrowly avoided her handbag being stolen.

The incident happened at around 3.45am on Saturday, March 2 on Rosary Road, close to the car park near the junction with Riverside Road.

Both the victim and the offender refused to let go of the bag and the woman was pulled along for a few moments before the offender ran off without the bag.

The offender is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall and in his 30s. It is believed he was a foreign national.
