A young boy was robbed of his bike and mobile phone in Thorpe St Andrew. It happened on Friday between 5.30pm and 5.45pm near the Fitzmaurice Pavilion in Pound Lane.

The victim, a 10-year-old boy, had been with his brother and a friend when they were approached by two other boys who became aggressive towards them. He ran from the boys and became separated from his brother and friend.

The two boys approached the victim again, punching him in the arm before stealing his Vertigo Rockface mountain bike and Samsung mobile phone.

The suspects were aged between 10 and 15-years-old. One is described as mixed race, wearing a black hooded top with the hood up and grey tracksuit bottoms. The other is described as white with blond hair.

Police are keen to speak to a person who is thought to have intervened earlier when the boys were running from the suspects.

Contact PC Steve Harrowing at Sprowston Police Station on 101.
