A woman suffered an injured thigh when she was bitten by a Staffordshire bull terrier in Cromer.

Police have appealed for information following the attack, which happened when the woman was walking near Cromer Country Club on Overstrand Road.

The incident happened at around 1.30pm on Thursday, April 5.

The dog, which was black in colour, was not a lead at the time.

A police spokesman said: 'She was bitten by a dog, causing an injury to her thigh.

'It is believed the dog was being walked by a woman in her early 20s.'

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone with information, should contact PC Adrian Craske at Cromer Police Station on 101.
