Police have arrested a woman after a Norfolk sergeant reaffirmed his commitment to tackling anti-social behaviour in the Rosary Road area of Norwich.

Norfolk Police's Sgt Mark Shepherd retweeted concerns from a resident about prostitution in the area last night.

He said: 'It's disappointing to see this after the policing operation on Rosary Road which I can confirm is still ongoing.'

He also encouraged the woman to call 101 to report the issues.

Today, police confirmed they arrested a 41-year-old woman in connection with an incident yesterday.

And Norwich Police replied to Sgt Shepherd's tweet to confirm the arrest was in connection with the residents' report.

A spokesperson said: 'It comes after police were called to the Rosary Road area at about 5.30pm following reports a woman had damaged the wall of a property and had been threatening towards members of the public.

'Officers attended and a woman was detained at the scene and arrested on suspicion of threatening behaviour and criminal damage.

'The woman remains in custody at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre where she is being questioned.'
