Police are appealing for information after a padlock to secure a gate to a field was cut in Yarmouth Road sometime between 5pm on Monday December 2 and 12.15am on Tuesday December 3.

As a result, a number of horses got out of the field, one of which ended up being killed after being hit by a Ford Fiesta car on the A47 Norwich bound, close to the Brundall roundabout. The driver of the vehicle was left extremely shaken by the incident and received medical attention at the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Amy Barrell on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
