A witness appeal has been launched after a teenager was assaulted at the Sundown Festival.

Police are investigating the alleged assault, which occurred at the festival’s camp site in Costessey yesterday <Friday>.

A Norfolk Police spokesman said that at about 8pm a girl in her late teens was assaulted by an unknown male outside a tent at the Norfolk Showground.

The incident happened on the opening night of the fourth Sundown Festival, which has attracted around 8,000 campers for the weekend event.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone with further information.
