The 38 year old victim was in St Georges Road on his way to the post office when he became aware of a man opposite the Hippodrome Circus. Having visited the post office, the victim was called out to. He turned round and recognised the man he saw earlier.

The victim was then grabbed by the right wrist and pushed backwards. His attacker stole a small amount of cash before running off down St Peter’s Road.

The robbery happened at around 4.15pm on Tuesday and police particularly want to speak with witnesses about a black car parked outside the post office at around 4.05pm.

Call DC Gavin Rivett on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
