Police in Dereham are appealing for witnesses following an incident in which four people were assaulted.

The crime took place at around 3.35am on Sunday in Nelson Place.

Officers arrived on the scene to find a group of approximately 20 people, including both males and females, who had been involved in an altercation. It is thought that some of those involved had already left the scene.

Three males, two aged in their 20s and one in his 30s and a female aged in her 20s were assaulted.

One of the males, aged in his 20s, received cuts and bruises to his face as a result.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident.
