39-year-old man arrested for being drunk at Cromer Carnival

A man in his 30s was arrested for being drunk and disorderly following an incident at Cromer Carnival, and will appear before magistrates next month.
The offence was tweeted by Pc Jon Parker at 1.52pm on Wednesday, August 16.
He said: “Sadly, one male under arrest for Drunk & Disorderly. Squaring up to me, shouting and swearing in a crowd of families and children.”
A Norfolk police spokesman said: “A 39-year-old man has been charged with being drunk and disorderly following an incident at Cromer Carnival on August 16.
“Wayne Batterbee, of Benedict Close, King’s Lynn, was arrested by police following an incident of disorderly behaviour on Prince of Wales Road.
“Batterbee was released on bail to appear at Norwich magistrates’ court on September 5.”
Cromer Carnival has been a huge success with thousands of people attending the event, which runs until Friday, August 18.
