Thieves stole a Louis Vuitton handbag worth more than £1,000 after breaking into a car parked in Costessey.

They broke into a Renault Clio in Olive Road between 7.45pm and 9pm on Thursday , and stole the handbag from the footwell behind the front passenger seat.

The handbag was an Alma GM worth over £1,000, made of dark brown canvas material, with the Louis Vuitton monogram pattern all over it.

Items inside included a mock crocodile leather Mulberry purse, a quantity of cash, and a pair of black and tortoiseshell-effect Mont Blanc sunglasses.
