The crash, between a Volkswagon Bora car and a Ford C-Max car, happened at 1.40pm on the Dereham-bound carriageway of the A47 between the Trowse junction and the Ipswich Road junction at Bixley.

Fire crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to cut a male casualty out of one of the cars, which had ended up in a ditch.

One lane of the road was closed and caused tailbacks as far the A146, but the road was cleared at about 3.20pm.
