Developers are set to launch a fresh bid to build on the site of former grain silos beside the river in King’s Lynn.
McCarthy & Stone said it wants to build high-quality accommodation for the elderly, with car parking and shop units on the site which faces Lynn’s South Quay.
A previous application was rejected by West Norfolk council in February 2012 and an appeal was also dismissed.
McCarthy & Stone say “reduced plans” have now been drawn up for the site of the silos, which were demolished in 2010.
These will be presented to nearby residents, local councillors and representatives from civic groups later this month.
Their views will be taken into account before a planning application is made for the site.
