A Norfolk cot blanket designer is on the search for bonny babies to model her new collection in celebration of two decades in business.
Charlotte Dean, of Heigham Road, Norwich, started making personalised baby blankets in late 1993, shortly after moving to the city with her husband Gordon and their then baby daughter Lily.
And now, celebrating her 20th year of Charlotte Cot Blankets, the 55-year-old wants to share her success by having babies and toddlers model her creations for a new brochure and website.
She said: 'Norwich has been a wonderful place to have a business and bring up children - I love it here.
'My second daughter Rose modelled as a baby for some of my original blankets and now I am looking for some new models. All babies look lovely but the more smiley they are, the better.'
Based in her studio off Earlham Road, she began knitting at the age of 22 and creates hats, mittens and Christmas stockings, as well as the handmade-to-order blankets.
They are made unique by the personalised details, such as a child's name or date of birth, being knitted into the design rather than sewn or stuck on.
And inspired by Victorian samplers, Edwardian toys, nursery rhymes and a nostalgia for her own 1950s childhood, the blankets have attracted the eye of celebrities from the Dutch royal family to recent Oscar winners.
Mrs Dean continues to draw inspiration from her Norfolk home and has even created a seaside blanket complete with Cromer crabs. Her favourite design however is her first creation 'animals and flowers' which she said is still as popular today as it was 20 years ago.
