A trio of siblings who have helped raise hundreds of pounds for their little sister who has cerebral palsy have organised another fund-raising event.

Josh, nine, Ben, eight, and Ellie Wright, five, from Adams Lane, Corpusty, have arranged a Spring Bonanza to raise money to build a sensory garden for three-year-old Felicity Wright.

The event is taking place on Saturday April 5 at Corpusty and Saxthorpe Village Hall between 2-5pm.

It will include a grand raffle with 55 prizes, including tickets to watch Dancing on Ice at Wembley Stadium and a signed Norwich City Football Club shirt.

Josh will run the raffle and tombola, Ellie will run the name the teddy and guess the weight of the cake competitions and Ben will run the hook a duck stall.

The children, who attend Corpusty Primary School, sent off 135 letters to a range of people including the Queen and prime minister David Cameron, who has provided a signed brochure about 10 Downing Street.

They have been helped by their mother Sarah Wight, 31, and Val and Peter Johnson from Corpusty Stores.

Mrs Wright, who works part-time at the village shop, said: “I feel so proud of them and people have been so generous.”

She added the sensory garden would include a vegetable patch and would help Felicity to move around more independently.

The children raised £2,300 through a tombola at Corpusty Stores last year, which they organised. The money went towards a £700 custom-made tricycle for the three-year-old.

Felicity was born five weeks premature and diagnosed in 2012 with spastic diplegia cerebral palsy, caused by brain damage.

She has to use a walking frame because her leg muscles are continuously contracting, which make them stiff.

Tombola tickets can be bought from Corpusty Stores.
