The coastguard helped a woman who had fallen and hurt herself on Gorleston beach.
The incident, which happened yesterday at 2.25pm, had seen a woman fall and sustain several injuries while walking along the sand.
During a long delay for an ambulance to arrive due to high demand, coastguard team members and RNLI lifeguards provided first aid and comfort to the woman.
Paramedics from a private company who were attending the Gorleston Cliff Top Gala also helped provide care as the casualty’s pain became worse.
HM Gorleston Coastguard said on a Facebook post: “Shortly after their arrival the Ambulance service arrived on scene.
“The casualty was then extacted from the beach with the help of the fire service, and transported to James Paget Hostpital for treatment.
This job was a good example of how different agencies work well together for the best outcome of the casualty. Well done everyone.”
