For a country where only 30% of the population has a passport, you can forgive Americans for struggling with geography.
But its main news channel CNN scaled the heights of embarrassment on Sunday when it moved London to Norfolk on its map of England.
The channel managed to move London 120 miles north east in its broadcast about the phone-hacking scandal.
The graphic was supposed to show viewers where the latest phone hacking arrests had been made, but instead of pointing to London it placed the country’s capital in our county.
The mistake was quickly flagged up on Twitter by a viewer.
A 19-year-old found dead on Hunstanton Beach was named today.
