The event was held in memory of James Lemmon who died from cancer before Christmas, aged just 39.

His widow, Amy Lemmon works behind the bar at The Rose in Queens Road, where her aunt, Dawn Hopkins is the landlady, and they arranged the free event at the pub on Saturday, January 11.

Mrs Lemmon said: “We were pleased with the money we raised and there were a lot more people there than we expected. There must have been about 200. It was a brilliant night.”

Mr Lemmon died from Non-Hodgkins lymphoma at their home in Norwich on December 13.
