Community groups and charities in a market town can apply for hundreds of pounds to help with capital projects.

Aylsham Town Council received £22,000 from the government through the New Homes Bonus.

The fund has been earmarked for local organisations.

Members of the community will decide where the money goes during the council’s annual town meeting on Wednesday April 30 in Aylsham Town Hall.

Groups can bid for up to £3,000 and the deadline for applications is Monday March 31. Each group can only put in one bid.

For more information and to download an application form visit http://aylshamtc.norfolkparishes.gov.uk.

The New Homes Bonus is awarded to communities that have accommodated new developments.
