A 100-mile bike ride and fun day is being organised to help raise money for one of the region's emergency services.

The ride is raising for the East Anglian Air Ambulance and will go from Carbrooke's Millennium Green to Dereham, Guist, Holt, Cromer, Wells, Fakenham and Swaffham before returning to the green.

After completing the route riders will be able to enjoy entertainment including live music, a bouncy castle, a raffle and stalls.

There will also be burger vans and an ice cream van to provide refreshment.

All are welcome to the evening which kicks off at around 7pm.

Organiser Darren Cowles said: 'We wanted to do something for a charity which doesn't get government funding and has to raise all the money itself.

'Also a friend of mine's partner had to use the air ambulance recently after an accident.

'If everyone who has said they are coming does then we will have 120, which would be great.

'It is not a race we will go as slow as the slowest rider so everyone is welcome.

'People can stop and turn back at any point if they like.

'It's not a race.'

The ride will include stops for food and drink along the way.

As well as riders' entry fees stall holders will be donating some of their proceeds to the air ambulance.

There will also be a raffle with prizes including a brand new bicycle.

Mr Cowles said: 'All the businesses in Watton have been very supportive.

'We have lots of vouchers and things like that which is great.'

Anyone wanting to take part in the ride should arrive for registration at 6.45am at the Millennium Green. Registration costs £10.
