Car crashes into wall in Tacolneston as police warn drivers to take care in icy conditions

Traffic has been delayed in Tacolneston this morning after a car crashed into a wall in icy conditions.

The crash happened on the B1113 Norwich Road, close to the Hall Road junction, when a Red Volkswagen Golf crashed into the wall shortly after 6am.

There was minor damage to the wall but the car could not initially be moved as it was partially in a ditch.

The driver of the car suffered no injuries and the road was cleared at 7.55am.

The crash comes as Norfolk Constabulary have urged road users to be careful this morning because of the potentially dangerous conditions, using its official Twitter account to say: “Take extra care this morning, particularly on minor and un-treated roads. Temperatures across Norfolk have dipped so roads may be icy.”
