The accident happened at about 12.30pm on Friday at the store on the Pasteur Retail Park.

The crash saw police, the ambulance services and firefighters attend with the man, who was said to be in his 50s and taken to the James Paget University Hospital for treatment.

Part of the outside of the store was cordoned off and it stayed open.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Trust said: “An ambulance crew attended to a report of a man in his 50s who had a head injury.

“He was taken to James Paget University Hospital for further care.

His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.”
