A stretch of Norfolk’s coastline should scrub up well when volunteers take part in an environmental clean up.

People are being invited to take part in a litter pick at North Denes beach in Great Yarmouth, from 10am tomorrow.

The pick is part of the Beach Care initiative – a campaign to keep Britain’s shores clean that launched last November, and is the third to take place at North Denes.

One of the aims of the scheme, which is being run by Keep Britain Tidy and Anglian Water, is getting residents across Norfolk to ‘adopt’ stretches of coastline and help maintain its natural beauty.

It is due to be rolled out across the region in the coming months.

• Volunteers will be meeting at Munchies Cafe in North Drive at 10am tomorrow.
