Norfolk artists are being encouraged to take part in an annual county-wide celebration of art.
The Norfolk and Norwich Open Studios (NNOS) event is one of the key dates in the county’s visual arts calendar and sees artists open their homes and studios to the public over 16 days.
Next year NNOS will take place from May 23 to June 7, and artists can now apply to take part.
The scheme is run by Norfolk and Norwich Festival in collaboration with local artists.
William Galinsky, the festival’s artistic director, said: “The festival is proud that the Open Studios scheme works with so many talented artists in a part of the world that has long been an inspiration for artists.
“It is a great opportunity for artists to promote their work and also for visitors to see artwork as it happens away from the traditional gallery spaces.”
The scheme was established in 1994 and regularly attracts more than 32,000 visitors.
The 2014 Open Studios event had 585 artists and 480 school children taking part across 272 venues, and there were also 20 trails for people to follow and countless demonstrations, workshops and other events.
In 2015 NNOS will be supported by Norwich-based Wex Photographic for the second year.

It costs £100 for individual artists and £280 for groups of artists to involved in the scheme. The deadline for 2015 applications is Friday, 5 December 2014.
