The owner of a children’s boutique has donated £400 to a hospice fundraiser after selling calendars in memory of a baby who died.

Dorothy Thompson, proprietor of Coccolino Childrenswear on Norwich’s Timberhill, raised the money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) nook appeal.

The appeal was launched two years ago to raise £10m for a new purpose-built facility at Framingham Earl, Norfolk. It will replace the charity’s Quidenham base.

Mrs Thompson, who set up Coccolino four years ago, was inspired to make the 2017 calendar after one of the shop’s customers gave birth prematurely at 24 weeks pregnant.

Baby Kai lived for a further six months and he and his parents were supported by EACH.

Mrs Thompson said: “I really respect what EACH does.”

Visit www.each.org.uk/the-nook for more information about the appeal.
