Bus diversions will be put in place while annual maintenance work takes place at Norwich bus station.

The annual maintenance will be taking place between 8pm and 6am on the nights of February 3 and 4.

Works are expected to be complete at 6am on Wednesday, February 5.

This year, the work will involve routine scheduled maintenance, including netting to the roof for bird deterrent.

Bus diversions will be put in place while the bus station is closed.

Those services which are
scheduled to operate will stop on either Surrey Street or St Stephens Street.

Details of alternative stop
locations is available by visiting Norfolk County Council’s website and the council will also put posters up at the bus station and at other bus stops in Norwich city centre.

The bus station will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians during the works (reopening at 6am each day) but pedestrian access between Surrey Street and Queens Road will be maintained along the footpath next to the YMCA.

The county council has written to residents in the neighbouring area to let them know the timings for the works taking place.

The works are weather dependent and the timetable for completion of works may change.
