Buildings at Holt, Cromer and North Walsham help North Norfolk District to four regional awards

North Norfolk is celebrating being the top council in the regional building control awards.
The district council took four of the 12 awards in the East Anglia Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Building Excellence awards held at St Andrew’s Hall, Norwich.
The awards recognise the importance of building control in creating high quality, safe, accessible and sustainable buildings.
The four winners from the area were:
Best Individual House – The Glass House, Holt (developer/owner Derek Foreman, architect/agent Tom Ground)
Best Community Building - Cromer Hospital (contractor Mansells, architect/agent – Purcells, client NHS)
Best Technical Innovation – Cromer Hospital
Best Commercial Building – The Atrium, North Walsham (contractor Farrans, architect/agent – Tom Ground and NPS, client North Walsham High School/Norfolk County Council)
The four award winners will be submitted as entries for the forthcoming national Building Excellence awards that will be held in London in the autumn.
