Cristina Magda-Calancea, 26 - known lovingly as Kyky by her friends and family - was found with multiple stab wounds outside her home in Fenland Road, King's Lynn.

Gediminas Jasinskas, 29, of Tennyson Avenue, has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

More than 50 people attended a memorial at her home, to commemorate the 'happy and smiley' girl she was.

Her brothers, Sebastian Milea, 40, and Razvan Milea, 31, both from King's Lynn, said they were left in disbelief when police knocked on their doors with news of her death. Sebastian, of Hillington Square, said: 'We still can't believe it, we think about it a lot.'

Razvan, Harecroft Gardens, added: 'All I want to know is - why? That is all I want to know.'

Miss Magda-Calancea moved to Fenland Road just over a month ago on August 5, having taken a new role at the Bespak factory in Bergen Way.

She had moved to King's Lynn four years ago from Romania where her parents remain.

'She just started a new life.' Sebastian said. 'She was a strong person and she was extremely happy, she had a specific laugh.

'She was never sad, everywhere she went it was always hearts and butterflies. 'She was going to meet me next week to make plans, the last thing she said to me was 'goodbye'.'

Miheala Anda, who had known Miss Magda-Calancea for two years since she moved to England in 2014, said: 'Cristina has been working hard to earn her money, she's been on lots of holidays around the world because she was that kind of person who loved adventures and the nature as well.'

The family are raising money to repatriate her body back to Romania, and have so far raised £1,650 in 19 hours.

'We have received donations from people we have never heard of,' Razvan said. 'The community have been very supportive.

'We want to thank everyone who has helped with every small penny.'
