Almost 60 people attend information evening on how to organise events
Local community groups, clubs and parish councils attended an information evening for advice on organising community get-togethers.
The event, organised by Broadland District Council, provided information to volunteers on how to apply for grants, licences and road closures.
Speakers - including Fiona Roberts, who organised the Norfolk sections of the Olympic torch relay and Tour of Britain - shared advice on how to make successful community event.
Almost 60 people turned up to the event, which was hosted at Hellesdon Community Centre.
Andrew Proctor, leader of Broadland council, said: “We hope everyone went away feeling inspired to organise more get-togethers with their neighbours and the wider community, safely and successfully.”
