Take That lead singer Gary Barlow thanked fans who turned out in their thousands to watch the band’s Wonderland tour on the first of two visits to Norwich.
The boy band, who made their name in the 1990s and relit their fire when they reformed a decade later, performed their first ever Norwich gig at Carrow Road on Thursday, June 16.
Fans started arriving at 4am to get their spots in the Norwich City stadium, with increased security on show in the wake of the recent terrorist attacks across the country.
The band did not disappoint the crowds, with several fans tweeting throughout the performance to show their appreciation.
And Mr Barlow showed his gratitude with a tweet after coming off stage, saying: “Brilliant night, brilliant crowd ! Thank you Norwich #wonderlandlive.”
Sylvia Anderson, 52, from Overstrand, attended with her partner Penny Cartwright, 51.
She said: “The show was fantastic. They were brilliant - it was really good.
“It was good because where we were standing Mark Owen came over and we got a picture of him and Gary Barlow came into the crowd and we got a picture up close.
“It was really, really good.”
