Investigators are probing the cause of a fire this afternoon that resulted in the death of an elderly man.

Police, fire crews from Cromer, Aylsham, North Walsham and Sheringham, ambulance and the East Anglian Air Ambulance were called to a building at The Street, Calthorpe, at 3pm.

During an incident that took more than one hour, the crews managed to get a man out of the building. But it is understood that medical crews were unable to revive him.
