Brandon's Market Hill was the scene for contemplation, gratitude and respect for the fallen at a ceremony on Sunday.
Crowds turned out to remember those who gave their lives during the First World War, including the more than 100 men from the town who never came home.
Prayers and the Last Post featured in the 45 minute service, with the 1st Brandon Scout Group and Shoestring Theatre Company reading out a roll of honour.
Reg Silvester, Brandon Town Council chairman, welcomed residents.
He said: 'You have to appreciate what people have done for you in the past. The turnout here today shows how the people of Brandon feel about the sacrifices made for us.'
An evening service on Monday, organised by the Royal British Legion, also saw onlookers pay their respects in silent tribute.
