Bin collections in Norwich are getting back on track following the disruption caused by the snow.
A Norwich City Council spokesman said bin collection crews in Norwich have made good progress in clearing the backlog caused by the suspension of services due to last week’s severe weather, but said continuing treacherous conditions in some side roads means that service has not been completely back to normal.
He said: “The catch-up process has meant some ad hoc changes to scheduled collections in some streets this week. For example, in some cases, crews may have collected waste or recycling a day late.
“If your collection has been missed this week, we would advise you to leave your bin out today (Friday 26 January) as crews will still be working hard to get to you.
“However, any bins not collected by 6pm on today, should be brought back into your property and put back out on your normal collection day.
“All bins which were missed last week should be brought back in and put out on the normal collection day next week.”
