Thousands of people looked on in amazement as the skies above Norwich were lit up with fire-filled colour.
Fireworks set off from Norwich Castle whizzed, popped and banged their way across the city’s iconic skyline.
The Big Boom event saw thousands of people, young and old, turn out to watch the stunning display and soak up some of the street entertainment as part of the Norwich City Council-run event.
Stuart Ladbrooke, 67, from Sprowston was with his wife Jacqui, also 67, and their granddaughter Kira, seven.
He said: “I thought it was the best one we’ve ever seen. They really went to town.”
Mrs Ladbrooke added: “I thought it was absolutely lovely, really pleasurable. The colours...it was just amazing.”
Kira described it as “fantastic”.
Also enjoying the fireworks were Rebecca Kalnins, 29, from Swafield, near North Walsham, who attended with 13-month-old daughter Bella and partner Darren Oakley, 31. She said: “It was really good, really colourful.”
