A group of party girls will trade booze, make-up and phones for discipline, prayer and contemplation in a new television series beginning tonight.

Bad Habits, Holy Orders starts on Channel Five tonight at 10pm, offering a rare glimpse into a Catholic convent - there has been no such access allowed in the past decade.

The series follows five women aged 19 to 23 on a 'spiritual journey' at Sacred Heart Convent in Swaffham.

During their stay, the girls give up their smartphones, alcohol and other vices and help the Sisters of the Daughters of Divine Charity with their community outreach duties.
