It will add to donations made by holidaymakers and friends in return for him piloting them over the north Norfolk coastline in his microlight aircraft.

Mr Reynolds, 70, is managing director of the family-run Ivy Farm holiday park at Overstrand.

But he is also well-known as a singer and musician who has performed in bands and solo for decades.

'It began when I was Paston Grammar School and we played in The Echoes doing rock and roll,' he explained.

Later he played with the Norwich-based Challengers, and has done solo work, playing keyboard, sax and guitar to backing tracks made his studio shed.

The former hang glider fan switched to microlights and gives 10-minute joyrides 'around the lighthouse' in return for £20 donations to the East Anglian Air Ambulance, which has raised about £500 this year.

It was while talking to local air ambulance representative Jamie Edghill that the idea for the music CD was hatched.

'We were chatting about my flying and music over a cup of coffee and decided on the disc idea,' said Mr Reynolds

It features a catchy 'almost Eurovision' song Live to Love Another Day, whose title was appropriate for the rescue charity, and which sees him provide all the instruments and vocals.

'I love both hobbies equally but as a pilot I realise the importance of the speed of the helicopter rescue,' he added.

The CDs will be on sale at EAAA events and outlets, as well as the Ivy Farm park with all the £5 price going the charity.

It is also being launched at a live event at Woodland Holiday Park at Trimingham on Saturday May 10 from 9pm. Mr Reynolds will perform the song live, helped by daughter Claire, a well-known am dram leading lady and singer who is shortly playing Nancy in Oliver at Cromer Pier.

They are also being joined by Claire's partner Will Chandler who is a Cliff Richard tribute act, the Dance Attitude group including Will's granddaughter Neve, and Mr Reynolds' school band member and lifelong friend guitarist Micky Starling.

Admission is free but it is hoped people will buy the CD.

People can also get it via Ivy Farm on 01263 579239 or email enquiries@ivy-farm.co.uk.
