Theatre and cinema-goers in north Norfolk can now become Friends of the area’s newest community arts centre.
The Atrium in North Walsham, which became a registered charity earlier this year, is now looking for audience members to help with on-going cash and practical support.
Individuals, couples and organisations are all invited to become Friends of the Atrium for an annual membership fee.
In return they will be offered exclusive discounts and ticket offers (such as two-for-one on special shows), discount on room hire for parties and other events, invitations to gallery private viewings, fundraising activities and special events, and season previews and up-to-date news.
Venue director Joseph Ballard said that by becoming Friends of the Atrium local people could help support “north Norfolk’s outstanding modern centre for the arts”.
He added: “As a charity we are only as strong as the people and the community who support us. This is an ideal way to get involved with us by attending fund-raising events or starting off as a volunteer.”
As well as live theatre and cinema the Atrium hosts a wide range of shows, art exhibitions, concerts, cabaret nights, classes and workshops.
Mr Ballard is also keen to recruit volunteers to help behind the venue’s bar, ushering at shows and events, offering technical help and by spreading publicity.
Friends of the Atrium annual membership is £15 for an individual, £25 for a couple or £35 for an organisation. Visit theatrium.org.uk or pick up a form from the venue.
