Maryisa Chappell’s brolly didn’t last long on King’s Lynn’s rain-lashed waterfront today.
And Norfolk looks set to stay cloudy tomorrrow, with the odd wintry shower thrown in.
Things are going to get colder towards the end of the week, with North Sea coasts shivering in a northerly wind.
There are warnings Scotland and north-eastern England could see the first snow of the winter. It’s not clear whether any will reach this far south.
But elsewhere, some are already predicting the coldest winter for half a century.
Naturists are to be banned from a nationally-renowned Norfolk beach following complaints about anti-social behaviour committed in the area.

Yes Christopher ..it just reduces the quality of the EDP as a newspaper ... Stating what is obviously not the case... Saying there is so much wind when everyone can see there is not... Editor take note....

Coldest winter for more than half a century? Do they mean it will be colder than 1978? http:www.guardian.co.ukuk2010mar02british-winter-coldest-30-years

If there is so much wind to blow her brolly inside out ... Strange how her hair is not blowing in the wind ... Fixed picture I think...

Don`t believe all you hear folks. The BBC`s London Hub lamentable regional forecast for Norfolk today said we might have a few showers. Wrong again. It absolutely poured for hours between Holt and Norwich. I think we are just as well off nowadays getting up and looking out of the window to see what the weather has in store for the day.
