With Norwich City taking on former Carrow Road boss Paul Lambert’s Aston Villa in the quarter final of the Capital One Cup next week, we’re appealing for Canaries fans to share their memories of League Cup runs of the past.

Were you at one of the games against Rochdale back in 1962 when Norwich beat the northern side 4-0 on aggregate to win the cup for the first time?

Were you down in the dumps at the old Wembley stadium in 1973 when a Ralph Coates goal won the cup for Tottenham? Or did you see next Tuesday’s opponents Aston Villa defeat the Canaries at the same ground in the final two years later?

Maybe you have happier memories of celebrating Norwich’s Milk Cup victory over Sunderland in 1985? And what was the best goal you’ve ever seen a Norwich City player score in the competition?

We’d love it if you would share your memorable moments of Norwich’s League Cup campaigns with us. We’re planning to run a piece featuring the best of them in the paper early next week.

Please email your memories and photographs to and make sure you include your name, address and a telephone number we can get hold of you on.
