Shoppers are less likely to spend their money in an Oxfam shop in the wake of the aid worker sex scandal which has engulfed the charity.

In an exclusive poll on edp24, 61pc said they were less likely to shop at Oxfam, while 31pc said they would continue supporting it.

Oxfam has issued an 'unreserved apology' to the Government, donors, supporters and the people of Haiti over its handling of sex allegations, including the use of prostitutes by workers in Haiti in 2011.

It now faces an investigation by the Charity Commission and the threat of having millions in government funding withdrawn.

Today donations of books sat uncollected on the doorstep of its King's Lynn branch.

A sign in the window of the shop, on Norfolk Street, said it would be closed on Saturdays because no supervisory cover was available.
