A coastal town has finally got its own heritage centre after a generous couple agreed to allow part of their house to be used rent-free for the historical project.
John Maiden, chairman of the Hunstanton Heritage Centre Trust, said: “Most towns the size of Hunstanton have either a museum or heritage centre of some description.
“We have felt for a long time Hunstanton has been missing out.”
The centre, which was officially opened by Tim Bentinck – star of BBC Radio 4’s The Archers – on Saturday, includes pictorial illustration of how the town has developed over the years and a railway exhibition.
