The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh attended church at Sandringham this morning.
As Her Majesty left church she was greeted with a round of applause by delighted well-wishers.
The 88-year-old monarch, who had attended the Sunday service at the St Mary Magdalene Church, smiled broadly and waved at the crowd of around 300 people.
The Queen, who was wearing a red coat with a black fur collar with a matching red hat, looked radiant as the winter sun shone on a very cold, crisp day.
The Duke of Edinburgh also attended the 11am service, which lasted just under an hour.
Mary Hammond, who came to royal estate to catch a glimpse of the Queen said: “I watched Prince Phillip as he walked to the church, he looked strong, robust and happy.
“I saw the Queen get out of the car and she looked beautiful. I heard a woman next to me say how lovely the Queen looked in her red coat.”
“I’m so glad we have come here today. It’s been cold but really lovely.”
