Police are appealing for information after the assault, which happened on Saturday January 18 at about 1pm.

The victim, a 14-year-old girl, was sat on a seat outside McDonalds in Haymarket, when she was involved in an argument with three women.

She was punched by one of the women, who left the scene heading towards the Forum.

Her attacker was white, in her early to mid-20s and was wearing light blue baggy jeans with her hair tied up. She was with two other women, one of whom was wearing a bright pink hoody, who had two small children and a baby in a pram.
