Appeal launched after man and a woman suffer cuts in an alleged knife attack in Lowestoft

Police are seeking witnesses and are asking anyone who may have been in the Till Road/Camp Road area of Lowestoft late last night to come forward after a woman and a man suffered cuts in an incident there.

A man armed with a knife allegedly jumped out and attacked the man and woman about 11.30pm to midnight last night (Tuesday).

The 30-year-old man and 22-year-old woman told officers they had walked along Summer Road into Till Road and up the alleyway leading to Camp Road when they were attacked.

The woman suffered a 5cm cut to her face and the 30-year-old a cut to his foot before the attacker fled.

A police spokesman said: “We are investigating what happened, and possible motives for the incident, and are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area around this time who may have seen or heard any dispute or altercation.”
