As Royal Wedding fever sweeps the nation one Great Yarmouth school decided to go the whole hog and have their own Prince Harry and Meghan Markle get married in front of delighted staff, pupils and parents.
This afternoon Alderman Swindell School staged its own royal wedding with pupils Kai Morris and Shania Rashid ‘tying the knot’ as the royal couple.
The wedding service in a packed school hall was carried out by Rev Jemma Sander-Heys, of Great Yarmouth Minster, with pupils playing the role of best man, bridesmaids and ushers.
Brandon Smith also gave a Bible reading, Isobel Tann gave a marriage blessing and Emily Holloway acted as registrar for the happy couple.
For the event pupils had put their names in a box with the role they would like to play with names being pulled out at an assembly. Pupils also designed wedding cakes and oversaw all the arrangements, which included a special carriage for the couple to leave in.
