More than a month after the floods hit Lowestoft some of its residents and businesses are still reeling from its effects.
Alan Spoor, 56, is still trying to dry out his flat in Marine Parade after a deluge of water ruined the property.
Mr Spoor, who received £800 from the EDP flood appeal, is unsure if an alternative rented flat can be found for him so major repair work can carried out.
Since the floods Mr Spoor, 56, spends all day trying to dry out his rented home with heaters and a dehumidifier and due to the damage caused he is forced to sleep on the floor of his brother's home in the town.
His sister also has 16 bags full of clothes that were saved from the flood waters.
Looking back on his ordeal, Mr Spoor said: 'One moment I was looking forward to Christmas and then this happens. It is unbelievable to think what happened I have never seen anything like it before.
'This has been my home for 36 years and I want to stay here.'
Pat Gleeson, 55 and who received £630 from the appeal, is one of the few residents left in St John's Road whose homes were hit by the flood waters.
She is temporarily moving out of her home so repairs can be carried out.
She said: 'I will be a bit sad to move out but it has to be done.
'That night was terrifying because of the depth of the water and there was no light.'
Andy Martin of Workwear Solutions in Bevan Street East is determined to keep his business open, despite losing £5,000 and considering closing it over Christmas.
Several other shops and businesses still remain closed in Bevan Street East.
